2025 Deletion Conference
Conference Overview
The 2025 16p11.2 Deletion Conference brought together families, clinicians, and researchers for three days of shared learning, practical guidance, and connection.
The conference featured research updates, clinical discussions, and expert‑led sessions covering care models, clinical trial results, speech and communication, mental health, metabolism, and ongoing care across the lifespan. Family breakout sessions provided focused space to discuss caregiver stress, sibling considerations, transitioning to adulthood, and educational considerations.
By combining science, clinical insight, and lived experience, the conference aimed to directly inform care while strengthening community connections.

Looking Ahead to Summer 2027
We are already looking ahead to planning our next conference, scheduled for Summer 2027. This future gathering will be thoughtfully designed to bring together both the 16p11.2 deletion and duplication communities, with programming that reflects shared challenges as well as important differences in care, development, and lived experience. By expanding the scope while maintaining depth, we aim to create a conference that supports meaningful learning, collaboration, and connection across the full 16p11.2 community. More details, including dates, location, and registration information, will be shared as planning continues.
