This study reports the first documented cases of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)—a severe motor speech disorder affecting a child's ability to plan and coordinate the movements needed for speech—in two children with 16p11.2 proximal deletion, helping families and clinicians know to screen for and address this specific speech challenge.
