This study examines seizures and epilepsy in children and adults with 16p11.2 proximal deletions and duplications, finding that about 1 in 4 with deletions and 1 in 6 with duplications experience seizures, most of which are well-controlled with common medications—helpful for families navigating an epilepsy diagnosis.
