This study shows that many children with 16p11.2 deletion or duplication syndromes have noticeable challenges with motor skills—such as coordination, balance, and fine‑motor tasks—from infancy through the teenage years, highlighting the importance of early motor screening and supportive therapies to help with development and daily functioning.
