Neurocognitive profiles of 22q11.2 and 16p11.2 deletions and duplications.

This large international study shows that children and adults with 16p11.2 deletions versus duplications have different thinking and learning profiles—such as differences in speed, memory, and problem‑solving—which helps families understand why individuals with the same genetic region affected can have very different strengths and challenges and why supports should be personalized, not one‑size‑fits‑all.
