Relationship between M100 Auditory Evoked Response and Auditory Radiation Microstructure in 16p11.2 Deletion and Duplication Carriers.
All,
This study shows that children with a 16p11.2 deletion process sounds more slowly because of differences in how the brain’s sound pathways function—not just how they are wired—helping families understand why speech may feel delayed or harder to follow and why supports like giving extra processing time, using visual cues, and reducing background noise can make listening and communication more successful.
